Born from a glassblowing elective at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) — the #1 public STEM school in the United States — the Unicorn Collection embodies the spirit of rare and enduring achievement (and school mascot). Each handcrafted unicorn horn symbolizes clarity, resilience, and wonder.

As a student entrepreneur inspired by the daring spirit of unicorn builders, Atlas Lad launched the Unicorn Collection to celebrate and inspire, by bringing to life custom-made, glass unicorn horns - each one meticulously handcrafted to celebrate this timeless symbol.

Under the mentorship of Jonathan Michael Davis, an award-winning artist, Atlas developed his vision for the Unicorn Collection. Today, this project is more than art—it’s a nonprofit initiative funding student entrepreneurship and innovation. Beyond valuations, the unicorn represents a commitment to differentiated excellence, world-changing ideas, and legendary teams. Through the Unicorn Collection, we honor the spirit that builds the future. From flame to form, each horn is meticulously shaped by student artisans using time-honored glassblowing techniques—no molds, no shortcuts—just molten glass, steady hands, and a steadfast dedication to the craft. Every Unicorn horn is as unique as the person it’s made for.

To protect and showcase these one-of-a-kind creations, we designed a custom display case that reflects the uniqueness and wonder of each unicorn horn. Crafted with care, the case is lined with luxurious silk to cradle the horn gently, ensuring its safety and elegance. The exterior features a sleek, minimalist design, while the interior reveals a rich, vibrant silk that highlights the beauty of the piece. At the heart of the box lies an inspiring mantra—“Dream. Create. Achieve.” It’s a celebration of imagination, craftsmanship and achievement.
